2020 Virtual STEM Classes

n light of the effect of the global pandemic on education, the Visiola Foundation is running a 2-month Virtual STEM Class designed for students in its programs to continue learning and be engaged in academic discussions.

Classes start at 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. daily from Monday to Friday and the focus areas are General Mathematics, Physics and career readiness. Assignments will also be given as a way of engaging the students.

The objectives of the Virtual STEM Classes include:

  • Increased STEM knowledge and skills, evidenced by improved academic performance and leadership development.
  • Increased confidence in studying STEM subjects.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Must be an African girl
  • Must be currently enrolled in secondary school.
  • Must have at least a smartphone

 

Classes are held on WhatsApp and Google Classroom application. Students can still register to join the classes by completing the application form.
