MEET MLA – President/Co-Founder

Meet Ejiroghene – Instructor

Everyone calls me “Oki-Peter.” I am a trained Computer Engineer. The Visiola Foundation has given me an avenue to transform the lives of talented girls by teaching them about science and technology. Working as an Instructor at the Visiola Foundation has exposed me to the Intelligence and wit of girls whose only disadvantage is the lack of exposure and access to opportunities. I am happy with what I do and thrilled that I am contributing towards achieving SDG 5 by increasing the number of women in the STEM workforce.
Meet Israel – Operations Manager

I am a passionate “STEM evangelist” with the doggedness required to excel and help marginalized individuals and communities access enriching opportunities. I am a firm believer in the potential of Africa’s marginalized youth, and I am always eager to contribute to bridging the gender gap in technology, by empowering high-potential girls and young women. My work at the Visiola Foundation has been very fulfilling. Girls who previously had modest life aspirations are now pursuing STEM degrees in universities overseas and in Nigeria, while some have secured jobs and are contributing to the socio-economic development of the country. I feel both humbled and delighted to have played a role in helping them maximize their potential.
Meet Chinwe – Head Instructor

Meet Jane – Senior Instructor

Meet Jane
“I am a trained mathematician who enjoys teaching. Becoming an instructor at the Visiola Foundation has enriched me personally. I have witnessed first hand how our programs, mentoring, and coaching build the confidence of girls. It is a joy to watch girls from low-income backgrounds become confident to challenge students from private schools. Their ability to learn is only hindered by their environment. With some encouragement and by teaching them in a “safe space” we give them the freedom to come out of their shells and to maximize their potential. This is so important because we need to ensure that we participate in the 4th industrial revolution, with the best minds solving problems, including women.”
Meet Christian – Instructor

I am a Software Engineer; The Visiola Foundation creates an environment where students can grow as they explore the world through the lens of the STEM fields. It feels good to be an instructor in an amazing organization that has a nurturing ethos, where students can learn and become more confident, as they develop solutions to simulated challenges that they experience in their communities. In addition, I work with a team of amazing and creative instructors, who are committed to helping students build a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Meet Emmanuel – Instructor

I am a trained Software Developer and Project Manager. I have always believed that if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything. Beyond teaching students science, technology, engineering, and math, we coach them on how to stand up for themselves, and we encourage them to share their ideas boldly during our club sessions. Our goal is to build their self-confidence and improve their self-worth
