The Visiola Foundation and WorldQuant University Forge Strategic Partnership to Empower Young African Women in STEM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Nairobi, September 15, 2025 The Visiola Foundation is proud to announce the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with WorldQuant University (WQU), a U.S.-accredited institution dedicated to delivering high-quality, accessible education in the STEM fields.

Through this collaboration, the Visiola Foundation will provide WQU with a steady pipeline of talented young African women to enroll in its cutting-edge programs, including:

  • Master of Science in Financial Engineering
  • Applied Data Science Lab
  • Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI): Computer Vision Lab
  • Deep Learning Fundamentals Lab

Leveraging its 360-Degree Developmental Learning Model, the Foundation will equip students with the tools, mentorship, and soft skills needed to excel both academically and professionally.

This partnership aims to transform the landscape of STEM education and employment for African women by expanding recruitment opportunities for graduates and increasing female enrollment in WQU programs from the current 18% to 40% within five years.

“We are investing in the next generation of African women leaders — empowering them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to drive innovation and economic transformation,” said Ladé Araba, President of the Visiola Foundation.

The Visiola Foundation and WQU are united in their mission to build a more inclusive and equitable future by preparing Africa’s brightest young women for high-impact careers in STEM.
