Programming for Beginners Workshop
March 31 – April 2, 2017

The Visiola Foundation’s Programming for Beginners workshop is a three-day coding workshop that is geared towards empowering young women by teaching them to understand the technology shaping our world. It will empower them to hand-craft their own websites, become career coders and enable them to start their own technology business.

During the workshop, participants will learn computer programming using Python programming language and web design. The coding workshop will be held at Digital Bridge Institute , No. 8 P.O.W. Mafemi Crescent, Off Solomon Lar Way, Utako, Abuja from Friday, March 31 – Sunday, April 2, 2017. The aim of the coding workshop is to encourage more girls to pursue technical careers by empowering them with vital knowledge to facilitate their success.

There is no fee for the coding workshop. The workshop targets young women between the ages of 17 – 30. Registration and attendance is free, however all applicants are expected to take the Aptitude Test at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Stone Bricks Hub at 10 Danube Close, Off Danube Street, Off IBB Boulevard, Maitama.
