The Coding Boot Camp in Enugu is an intensive three-week training program that will provide participants with a strong foundation upon which to build their careers as computer programmers and tech entrepreneurs. The boot camp will hold from July 16 – August 4, 2018. It will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily from Monday to Saturday.
Participants will be taught the fundamentals of computer programming, including logic and reasoning, Data Structures, Algorithms, Full Stack Web Development, and Mobile App Development. They will work on individual assignments and group challenges to enhance their learning, critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving abilities. The aim of the boot camp is to encourage more girls to pursue technical careers by empowering them with vital knowledge to facilitate their success.
- Must be an African woman aged 17 – 30 years based in Enugu.
- Must be available for the full duration of the boot camp.
- Must register and plan to take the Aptitude Test on July 13/14, 2018, when shortlisted.
- No prior programming experience required.
All candidates must register by completing the application form by July 13, 2018. All interested students must deposit the sum of N1,000 (One Thousand Naira) into the Visiola Foundation’s Zenith Bank Account at the time of applying. Evidence of payment of the application fee may be requested.
Attendance at the camp is free, however, all applicants are expected to take the Aptitude Test in person on July 13th or 14th, 2018.
