Our Coding Boot Camp for Girls in Ibadan is an intense 10-day program designed to empower young women to be successful career programmers. It will empower them to build their own websites, program robots, become career coders and enable them to start their own technology business. The camp will be held at Lead City University in Ibadan from Thursday, May 25 – Sunday, June 3, 2017. The camp is non-residential and will run from 8:30 – 5:00 p.m. every day.

During the 10-day coding boot camp, students will design and build robots and learn about data structures, algorithms, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Python. This will serve as a foundation upon which they will mature into successful programmers and IT professionals.

The specific objectives of the coding boot camp are:

  1. A stronger foundation in Computer Science.
  2. Increased knowledge and confidence in programming.
  3. Developed web applications and programs.
  4. Greater interest and would be well equipped to pursue high-wage technical careers

There is no fee for the coding boot camp. The camp targets young women between the ages of 17 – 30. Registration and attendance is free, however all applicants are expected to take the Aptitude Test. The aptitude test will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Lead City University.
