Four of the participants in our 2017 STEM Camps in Accra, were accepted into the University of Edinburgh to study computer science. Edna was recognized for her community service project which created a reading clinic for primary school students, and led a breast cancer and diabetes awareness campaign.

The Visiola Foundation’s 2017 Summer Coding Boot Camp trained 50 young women, the STEM Summer Camp taught students about Renewable Energy and guided them in building solar, hydro, and wind power plant prototypes.

The Visiola Foundation held an inter-school Robotics and Web/Mobile Applications Competition and Coding Boot Camps for girls from underserved communities in Lagos and Ibadan.

The Visiola Foundation started STEM Camp for Girls in Accra, and drew students from across the greater Accra region. We introduced young women in Abuja to computer programming, and extended our after-school STEM Clubs for girls to work with 14 junior and senior Government Secondary Schools in the Federal Capital Territory.

The Visiola Foundation received a 2016 Google RISE Award for its efforts to increase access to computer science, LCU students share their experiences and advise with public school students.
